DEYO was initially dedicated to baiting the Canada Revenue scammers. Now he has become a multi-talented Scambaiter and victim advocate. When I spoke to DEYO he expressed his start in scambaiting by saying:
“Basically, I got into it because someone I know was catfished by a scammer and after my first call, I realized I could not only waste the scammers’ time but could also use humor to help people laugh and learn about scams. I try to use accents from around the world to show the scammers will scam anyone not just the elderly.”
DEYO is not only effective with skill and comedy but is efficient in obtaining vital information for law enforcement. He has contacted banks, and other law institutions to aide them in the apprehension of scammers. He has video features on scams, scam baiters, and educational videos that share his volume of knowledge with the public. DEYO is a vital part of the community with a genuine, humble personality. He is generous, and always willing to lend his expertise to others in the pursuit of justice and the slowing of the scammers.
