If you are a beginner or periodic scambaiter, then I suggest you use TextNow. Which is a free app to make calls online. If you are deciding to go at it a little more heavily, then I really suggest you put a couple dollars into a Voip provider. You have much better control over your numbers, display names caller id and have the ability to change numbers quickly on the fly.
There are many providers out there for Voip services but one that I have found to be extremely easy to use is voip.ms. Voip.ms allows you to create accounts and sub accounts with dedicated numbers for you or your team.
I have been using their service in combination with the free calling software called MicroSip for months now. They run very well together for incoming and outgoing calls.
The prices are very low. .009 cents per min. and around a dollar per line per month. Which really amounts to nothing over a months time. I usually put 10 dollars on it and forget about it for quite a while. The other provider I used before Voip.ms was listed as the same rates, but seemed to deplete my funds much quicker. I do not know if it has to do with how they count the calls, but Voip.ms is much more efficient.
